Arkansas County Growth & Development Program

Promotes the development of youth and families in the community by providing support, structure, education, intervention, prevention, and positive engagement.

Arkansas County Juvenile Department started a Life Skills program in 2021. With the program's great success, a new program was needed to address and facilitate all the needed community services. In the area we reside, the Delta, funding and resources are limited. Therefore, essential programs are scarce yet necessary to promote a healthy and purposeful life. As a combined partnership with the Arkansas County Juvenile Department, we hope to see a noticeable change in the growth and development of our youth and families.

Our Goal:

Provide support to our youth and families that increase self-esteem, sense of belonging, and life skills while decreasing at-risk behaviors.

Our Purpose is to apply programs and resources in the community that provide awareness, prevention , and intervention for at-risk behaviors and drug use. We strive to decrease truancy, defiant, and oppositional behaviors at home and school.
We expect our result to be a multi-purposed program for the youth and families of Arkansas County by providing solidity and strength as we build relationships in the community, improve students' academics, behaviors, and community involvement. Mentoring and tutoring will remain the primary ways to support our youth and family welfare. 

Arkansas County Youth Growth and Development Program is committed to implementing tools that encourage and empower the community. Programs will remain free and voluntary to all participants. The prevention and intervention skills will assist youth and families in reaching short- and long-term goals.
